Objectives

The aim of this project is to develop a unified set of complex systems theoretical metodologies. This is in order to characterize complex networks, helping addressing fundamental questions about stability, efficiency and functionality of this networks.
We shall concentrate the research activity on the structure originatated by the interplay of different agents. We shall focus in the information society on the internet Network and World Wide Wed structures. Social and Economic networks will be also considered.
In particular we intend to find a set of new tools for the analysis and the visualization of very large networks. We want to devise efficient algorithms for measuring the relevant characteristics of such networks and for visualizing their evolutions at different scales.
Finally, we intend to apply such tools to real world problems faced in the information society technology and in social structures.
